Purchases & Orders
Please ensure your order is correct prior to placing it. We have included lots of good detail in our product descriptions. Please review all product details, and double check size dimensions, colour selections, and quantities.
Because of the unique nature of our products, many which are made to order, sales are considered final. We have selected our products and suppliers based on their known quality and consistency. However, we know sometimes things happen! So if your product has a major defect, or arrives damaged, we will provide an exchange.
To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Within 24 hours of receipt of your delivery, please contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line "Exchange Requested". Describe the issue and include photo(s) of your product. We will reply with further instructions. (Note: Customers will be responsible for return shipping costs.)
Locations: We currently ship to Canada and the United States only. JanieJute is located in Canada, but most products will be shipped to you directly from our manufacturing and distribution partners.
Shipping Times: Shipping times vary depending on item(s) purchased. But, generally, you can expect to receive your item(s) in approx. 2-4 weeks after the order is complete.
- Many products (including clothing, mugs, art prints, and more) are made to order. This means that we create the product especially for you once you make a purchase. In most cases, you can expect to receive these products within 2-3 weeks or sooner. These items are shipped from the United States and Canada.
- Due to the unique nature of our home decor collection, and some fashion accessories and jewelry, we source from several manufacturers and distributors. Some of these partners are located in Asia. In these cases, our partners ship directly to you to save on shipping and transport costs. These items typically take 2-4 weeks to arrive at your destination. Shipping may take a little longer than with large retailers, but it's the reason we can bring you unique products at affordable prices.
- We strive to ship each order according to these timelines, but we regret that we cannot be held responsible for delays beyond our control, such as unexpected weather, production, shipping, or customs issues, or other. While these events are rare, they may occur from time to time.
Multiple Products: If you've ordered multiple products, please don't worry if you receive a package that doesn't contain your full order. This is perfectly normal as we have several manufacturing and distribution partners. The rest of your order will arrive within the delivery windows outlined above.
Reach out to us: If you have a concern about your shipped order, please reach out to us at email@example.com.
Taxes & Duties: Customers are responsible for any import taxes, carrier fees and customs declarations, if any are applicable. Check your country's guidelines.
Colours: It is impossible to replicate colours 100% on a screen. Therefore, the actual product colour may not be a perfect match with screen colours. This is considered normal.
Sizes: Some clothing and accessories run small or large. If so, this will be clearly noted in the product description. Please do not ignore these notices as they are based on the manufacturer's guidance. Always consult the Sizing Charts provided to determine right the size for you.
Natural Variances: Due to natural variances in fabrics and material, there may be minor variations in shade, colour, texture or construction from lot to lot, and therefore, product to product. This is considered normal.
Handmade Items: Many any items in our shop are rustic and handmade (painted, woven, etc.). Therefore, they may have minor 'discrepancies' that would not be found on a machine-made product. This is considered normal, and simply adds to the authentic beauty of the product.
Minor Defects: Minor defects are those that will not affect the overall aesthetic, usability, or safety of the product. Some examples include: untrimmed threads, an uneven stitch line, a minor surface imperfection, or a tiny snag in a woven fabric or product. Minor defects are considered normal.
